I have spent 28 years in public education, including 15 years as a superintendent. My career has taken me from the classroom to the principalship, central-office leadership, and the superintendency across diverse school communities. Each experience has shaped how I approach leadership: understand the system, listen carefully, confront challenges honestly, and turn vision into meaningful progress.
As the 2026 New Jersey Superintendent of the Year, I have successfully led organizations through strategic planning, instructional improvement, organizational change, community engagement, technology transformation, complex fiscal decisions, and major facilities initiatives. I understand the realities education leaders face because I continue to navigate them every day.
My practitioner's perspective helps organizations serving schools align their ideas with the realities of district leadership, school-system needs, and practical implementation.
